Providing fiscal discipline and managing our community’s finances effectively is one of the City’s key priorities. These resources detail the annual reporting and budgeting process of the City’s operations.

Annual Reports

The Annual Report contains key information related to City of Abbotsford operations for a specific calendar year including a financial overview, highlights and accomplishments, and progress being made on Council’s strategic goals.

The Annual Report reflects upon the previous year and evaluates whether the City successfully accomplished the goals set out in the Strategic Plan.

City Budget Discussion 2025-2029

The Draft 2025-2029 Financial Plan Bylaw for the City of Abbotsford will be presented at the Special Committee meetings scheduled to take place over two sessions on December 10 & 11, 2024 from 1 pm to 5 pm in the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium at 32315 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford, BC.

Public Feedback

The public will be given an opportunity to provide comments on the Draft 2025-2029 Financial Plan Bylaw at the conclusions of these meetings on both days. Alternatively, feedback from the public can be submitted electronically to the Finance Department at finance_info@abbotsford.ca. The Special Committee Agenda Packages will be available online by Friday, December 6, 2023 at www.abbotsford.ca/ams. Meetings will be web streamed live and then archived online at www.abbotsford.ca/watchcouncilonline.

Vendor Payments

The City of Abbotsford pays all suppliers/vendors by electronic funds transfer. Vendors are informed in advance by email when payments are made.

The following invoicing requirements must be met in order to avoid delays in payment:
- All invoices must reference your City of Abbotsford contact name (first and last name) and City Department name.
- If a City of Abbotsford purchase order has been issued to you, this number must be shown on all related invoices, shipping papers, transportation bills, packages, packing lists and correspondence.
- A separate invoice must be submitted for each shipment or delivery and mailed or delivered with the goods and/or service, unless other arrangements have been agreed to.
- All invoices must bear a unique reference (invoice) number, a brief description of the goods and/or services being supplied.
- Your GST/HST and PST registration number (if applicable) when you supply taxable goods and/or services to the City.
- The City’s payment terms are net 30 days, unless otherwise approved by the Senior Manager, Purchasing & Supply Services.
