Pursuant to s.18 (4) of the Council Procedure Bylaw, 2023, any individual or group wishing to make a public presentation to Council must submit a Delegation Application. All delegations are limited to 10-minute presentations.

The submission deadline is three weeks prior to the Council or Committee meeting.

the name and contact details of the person(s) that will address Council, and whether they will be attending in person or virtually;
a description of the matter to be presented to Council;
the request being made of Council;
the reason for making the request;
an explanation of the issue that is the subject of the request;
a summary of current and proposed legislation and policy relevant to the request; and
a copy of any materials that will be discussed and a link for any videos that will be presented.
*Pursuant to s.18 (4) of the Council Procedure Bylaw, 2023, the City of Abbotsford reserves the right not to hear delegations that pertain to, but are not limited to: legal matters; personnel, and/or private property issues; where a Public Hearing has been held in according with an enactment as a prerequisite to the adoption of a bylaw; or if its purpose is to deal with a matter that is outside the jurisdiction or legal authority of the City.
