Plan ahead and arrive early for busy Abbotsford International Airshow weekend

With the Abbotsford International Airshow bringing aviation experts and flight enthusiasts to the City this weekend, the City of Abbotsford is encouraging people travelling to Abbotsford or through the Fraser Valley to plan ahead and arrive early to their destination.

The Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) and major routes through the community will have additional traffic between Friday, August 11 and Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Abbotsford International Airshow attendees are encouraged to carpool with friends and family and use public transit whenever possible. There is a free BC Transit shuttle to the airshow, which connects to Route 66 Fraser Valley Express, will run on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. This shuttle will leave from the Bourquin Exchange, with stops at Old Yale and Clearbrook, Maclure and Townline, as well as the Highstreet Mall, before arriving at the Abbotsford Airshow site.
