The goal of the Economic Development team at the City is to create an environment where entrepreneurs and businesses can grow and flourish. The department supports Abbotsford businesses with growth and expansion, attracts new businesses to the community, facilitates filming, and creates partnerships between local businesses and City programs that benefit the business community. Economic Development staff collaborate with industry associations, economic development partners and First Nations to solve local issues and create regional growth opportunities. The team is an ambassador for business development and celebrates the economic growth in the City.
