A Soil Removal and Deposit Permit is required when removing or depositing any amount of soil from or onto any property in the City of Abbotsford. Soil can refer to clay, silt, sand, gravel, cobbles, boulders, peat or any substance of which land is naturally composed down to, and including, bedrock.
The City of Abbotsford's Soil Removal and Deposit Bylaw, 2003 regulates the movement of soil within the City limits. The purpose of this Bylaw is to ensure no harmful effects are made to the environment, City property or private property.
