Plan ahead for a busy Abbotsford International Airshow weekend

Bulletins

With the Abbotsford International Airshow bringing aviation experts and flight enthusiasts to the City this weekend, the City of Abbotsford is encouraging people travelling to Abbotsford or through the Fraser Valley to plan ahead and arrive early to their destination.

The Trans-Canada Highway 1 and major routes through the community will have additional traffic between Friday, August 9 and Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Abbotsford International Airshow attendees are encouraged to carpool with friends and family and use public transit whenever possible. There is a free BC Transit shuttle to the airshow, which connects to Route 66 Fraser Valley Express, which will run on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11, between 9:40 a.m. and 6:05 p.m. This shuttle will leave from the Bourquin Exchange, and stop at Old Yale Road at Clearbrook, Maclure Road at Townline, as well as Highstreet Shopping Centre, before arriving at the Abbotsford Airshow site. The first three shuttles of the day will depart Highstreet Shopping Centre at 9:40, 10:00 and 10:20 a.m.  For more information, please visit http://www.bctransit.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/AbbotsfordAirshow2024.pdf
