Indigenous Businesses Working Group
The Indigenous Businesses Working Group is a sub-group of the Economic Development Table, a network of organizations and other actors in Abbotsford who have a role, mandate and interest in local economic development. This working group is Chaired by Stό:lō Community Futures, and members include Sema:th Xo:tsa Developments LP/LTD, Leq’á:mel First Nation, the Fraser Valley Métis Association and the City of Abbotsford.
The Indigenous Businesses Working Group works to address gaps in services, support and opportunities for Indigenous businesses in Abbotsford and surrounding areas and helps ensure that First Nations’ perspectives are represented in Economic Development matters.
LETŚE Q'ÉP (Let's Gather Together) Event: The Indigenous Businesses Working Group hosted a LETŚE Q'ÉP event networking opportunity for Indigenous entrepreneurs on May 22 at Raven’s Brewing. The next event is planned for early 2025.
