Childcare is available at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre and Matsqui Recreation Centre for ages 6 months to 12 years. Childminding is not available on Statutory holidays and long weekends. Childminding limits are in effect and can be reserved up to 25 hours in advance. Schedule is subject to change based on attendance levels.

We offer a 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and yearly rec pass which allows patrons full access to both Abbotsford Recreation Centre and Matsqui Recreation Centre. Once you register for a Rec Pass you will be issued a card with your photo ID on it. When you visit a facility you can scan in and enjoy unlimited use. We also offer 10 and 20 session passes for discounted use. Prices are listed above in the Facility Admission Rates.
Pre-Authorized Payment Plan program
Is an optional payment plan, which provides an opportunity to make monthly payments for City of Abbotsford Annual Passes. Enjoy the convenience of monthly pass payments at our annual rates. All for no additional fees. Ask a Customer Service Representative about our Annual Pass Payment Plan Option or fill out the information and drop it off to Matsqui Recreation Centre or Abbotsford Recreation Centre.

Visit one of our Recreation Centres to sign up for an annual Rec pass which entitles you to free drop-in access for Abbotsford residents who are 75 years of age and older. Proof of age and residency required.

For a fee of $25 per year you can enjoy the many activities that the 55+ Activity Centres have to offer. Please note that access to activities and programs outside of regular programming time are not included in the pass.

- Skate sharpening is available during public skate times for $6.90.
- Skate rentals are available for $3.70 at both Abbotsford Recreation Centre and Matsqui Recreation Centre. We offer both figure skates and hockey skates.
- We offer a limited amount of Helmet rentals for $2.50

Gift cards are available at Abbotsford or Matsqui Recreation Centres and the Parks, Recreation & Culture Office at City Hall. Gift Cards are a great way to give the Gift of Recreation and we have lots of varieties for all occasions. They are simple and easy to use and can be redeemed for:

Purchase your Gift of Rec from November 15 - December 31, 2024
Give the gift of recreation this winter with every $25 in gift cards purchased you will receive and Admit one pass (pass valid until March 31/25) that you can use for yourself during the holidays.Use of this Gift Card constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions. Present this Gift Card as payment towards any Abbotsford Parks, Recreation & Culture program or service. Gift Cards cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash. If your Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without authorization it cannot be replaced. This Gift Card has no expiry date. Purchase amount will be deducted from the unused balance remaining on the Gift Card, with any excess purchase price payable at time of purchase.

The Grade 5 Pass includes FREE admission to any public swim, skate or gym drop-in at ARC and MRC. The Grade 5 Pass is a simple, easy way for grade 5 students to enjoy the City’s recreation services.
• Pass is valid from September 3, 2024 - August 31, 2025.
• A parent or guardian must be present when picking up the pass.
• Proof of residency and age is required (birth certificate).
• If the applicant does not live in Abbotsford, but attends school in SD34, please ask that they have a teacher write a letter to indicate that they are in Grade 5 at an Abbotsford school.
